Many players, sometimes top players included, face the problem of "I don't know what to do" in middle game, and failed to find an adequate answers for questions like -
- How to find a plan?
- What is my opponent's plan?
- Shall I exchange pieces or keep them?
- Shall I go for complications or shall I avoid them?
- What to do if I face an attack?
- Shall I open up the positions or keep it closed?
During this intensive camp, GM Boris Gelfand, the 2012 World Champion Challenger, will analyze high level games, including his own games vs the world's best players, to illustrate the thought process of elite players in handling complicated middle games.
The first week will focus on positional ideas and the second week will focus on dynamic themes. Homework will be assigned each day to help enforce the learning.
