Event Description

Three winners of the Premier Section will receive an invitation to the MA Girls' Invitational Championship to compete to represent MA in the 2026 Ruth Haring National Girls Tournament of Champions and the Susan Polgar Invitational tournament. Trophies will be awarded to the top 3 players in each section.

Official January ratings are used for pairings.

Open to girls in grades K-12.

 Premier G/45, d5; Under 1000 G/30, d5.

Round 1 starts at 10 a.m. Other rounds start ASAP.

No Β½-point byes are allowed in the Premier section. One Β½-point bye is allowed in the U1000 section

The premier section is restricted to students rated 800 and above. Sections may be combined.

Entry fee: $30 if registered before January 31, 11:59 pm. $35 after January 31.

Additional $15 discount for first-time players in a USCF-rated tournament in the Under 1000 section.

Both Sections are open to out-of-state players

All electronic devices must be turned off completely and stored out of sight. Players are forbidden to have electronic devices on them at any time during the game

In the interest of the players, no spectators are allowed in the playing hall when games are in progress.

Active USCF membership required.

Penalties are at the discretion of the TD and may include reducing the remaining time of the offending player or declaring the game to be lost by the offender.

MA Girls' Invitational Championship will be a 6-player round-robin. 3 players from this qualifier + last year’s winner+2 top rated (official regular March rating)
